Located just 23km from Siena, the hotel sits in the medieval village of Monastero dell'Ombrone and is furnished with simple Tuscan pieces alongside masterpieces from the area, radiating pure elegance and a typical Italian ambiance.
We loved the Aqua Monasteri salt bath, its density so intense (surprisingly) that you float as if in the Dead Sea. Follow this with a mud bath and steam wrap for the full detox programme, or consult Dr Mosaraf Ali, the in-house therapist for a full well being holistic programme, guaranteed to ensure you leave the Castel feeling revived and energised.
Quite simply excellent. If I could say one thing it is that Egypt is the place to go right now, as there were virtually no tourists at some of the sights and that,I should think, is quite rare!
