THE HOTEL
Solio Lodge is a luxurious lodge which opened in August 2010 and lies in the valley between the dramatic slopes of Mount Kenya and the rolling peaks of the Aberdare Mounts. Solio Game Ranch is recognised as the most successful private rhino breeding reserve in Kenya and is home to over 74 Black Rhino and 155 White Rhino, The rhino live in harmony with other wildlife including buffalo, zebra, giraffe, eland, oryx, impala, waterbuck, Thompson's gazelle and warthog. Cats include lion, leopard and cheetah. Solio has some of the best leopard viewing in the country. With only six spacious rooms-each with an open fireplace in the sitting area - the lodge seeks to deliver privacy and personal service.

Quite simply excellent. If I could say one thing it is that Egypt is the place to go right now, as there were virtually no tourists at some of the sights and that,I should think, is quite rare!
