THE HOTEL
Sosian Lodge is located on a private wildlife conservancy in Laikipia area of Kenya. The area is extremely scenic with the escarpment giving way to dramatic wooded gorges and riverine thickets. Sosian specializes in action packed adventurers and as it is outside the national parks one is not limited to viewing game from a vehicle. The lodge has been restored from a ranch house built in the 1940's by Italian artisans. The seven cottages lie in the garden, with Mount Kenya in the background and views of unspoilt Africa. Each lodge has its own private veranda and en suite bathroom.
As well as all the exciting safari activities on offer each day, the lodge has a swimming pool, tennis court and miles of wilderness to explore with top guides. Sosian has amazing wildlife, all of Africa's large mammals apart from rhino are here. Large herds of elephant, giraffe, hippos, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, African wild dog, zebra, antelopes, warthogs and a plethora of beautiful birds. You may also see some rare and endangered species such as Jackson's Hartebeest, Grevy's Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, striped Hyena and aardwolf.
