THE HOTEL
Situated on its own private estate Sirikoi is a spectacular game lodge in the centre of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. It is a small camp with only 6 tents and then a secluded 2-bed cottage. There are 4 luxury tents all have views of the waterhole from the veranda, a living area with a fireplace and an elegant bathroom with a Victorian bath and a shower. New to Sirokoi is a 3 bedroomed house perfect for a family or couples travelling together. There is a large dining area with an open log fire and again commanding views of the savannah. The pool as well as being a place to relax is a great area to watch the local wildlife and birdlife.
A wide range of activities are offered such as helicopter trips, lion tracking, horseback riding, and visits to a local Maasai homestead. Enjoy the allure of the early aviation days, when Karen Blixen and Denys Finch-Hatton flew around Kenya, by flying over Lewa in a brand new Waco biplane. Based on the original model of the 1920's and 30's, the plane has room for two passengers to sit side by side for a nostalgic, once-in-a-lifetime flying experience. Sirikoi is run from solar energy, has its own extensive organic vegetable and fruit garden, free range chickens, a dairy herd and a crystal clear mountain spring providing all the lodge's water. Closed April and November.
Experience behind the scenes at Sirikoi and be guided round the working garage and the organic vegetable and fruit garden to be able to see how this incredible camp works.
