Rising up out of the desert the dramatic Mathews Mountain Range in Kenyan's Northern Frontier region stretches for 150km. It is a wild area of forest and mountain peaks where gazelle, oryx, ostrich and Grevy's zebra are seen grazing by river Ewaso Ng'iro and seasonal streams that cut through the mountains.
Herds of elephant are found in abundance along with leopard, lion, kudu, buffalo and more than 200 bird species have been recorded. Cycad palms flourish in this area, some of which are found nowhere else on earth.
Spending time in this amazing region will not be forgotten as you can do anything from day and night drives to guided forest walks and swimming in the beautiful Ewaso Ng'iro River.

Guest Testimonial
Quite simply excellent. If I could say one thing it is that Egypt is the place to go right now, as there were virtually no tourists at some of the sights and that,I should think, is quite rare!![]()
