     Manda Bay is a small private lodge on a secluded peninsular of the island, surrounded by magnificent coral gardens, empty beaches and indigenous woodland. Guests are assured of total privacy and serenity, with just 16 spacious en suite cottages lining the shoreline complete with shaded verandas overlooking the calm waters of the bay. The cuisine embraces all the rich flavours not only of the sea but also Swahili culture and European tastes.     Weather

    Kenya's equatorial location ensures warm weather year round, though it can be cool at night and first thing in the morning. There are two rain seasons, the long rains occur from April to June and short rains from October to December. The rainfall is sometimes heavy and when it does come it often falls in the afternoons and evenings. The hottest period is from February to March and coldest in July to August.
