Days 1-3 Luang Prabang, Laos
After your overnight flight via Bangkok you'll arrive in the stunning UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang. You've got a night to relax in the Sofitel Luang Prabang, and we'd recommend a gentle climb up Mount Phousi to enjoy the spectacular sunset views. An early start offers the chance to witness the daily alms of the Buddhist monks before driving to the beautiful Kuang Si Falls, a fitting start to your watery adventure as you'll later take a sunset cruise down the Mekong River.
Sofitel Luang Prabang | Meals: Breakfast

Days 4-5 Champasak, Laos
Following the Mekong you'll fly to Pakse, near to your next port of call, Champasak, where your boutique riverside hotel is in prime position for exploring the river and the Vat Phou religious complex. A private boat will take you on a tour around the 4,000 islands, known as Si Phan Don, and we've arranged for you to explore the largest, Don Khon island, by bicycle. You'll get to see one of the largest falls in South East Asia, Khone Phapheng, on return to the mainland.
The River Resort | Meals: Breakfast

Days 6-8 Siem Reap, Cambodia

Leaving Laos, you'll take a short flight to Cambodia, home of crumbling temples and a long, punishing history. The temples of the Angkor Wat complex will be the backdrop for your first night, as you watch the sunset over the incomparable World Heritage Site. The temples continue with a visit to Bayon, jumping on a bicycle to cover the distance between Angkor Thom and Banteay Temple. A tour of Angkor Wat gives you a unique insight into the history and significance of the complex, visiting the temples on Ta Phrom and Banteay Srei. We'd highly recommend visiting the Old Market and taking a boat trip across Tonle Sap Lake before you leave.
Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa | Meals: Breakfast

Day 9 Phnom Penh, Cambodia
The Raffles Hotel Le Royal is one of the top hotels in Cambodia, and you'll be laying your head here as you visit the glittering Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, and oasis of calm in the centre of this busy city. A stroll around the National Museum, home to the most important collections of ancient Cambodian culture, is an educating experience.

Days 10-13 Mekong Cruise

A four-day cruise down the Mekong River aboard the Aqua Mekong is the perfect way to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the major waterway that supports so many diverse and interesting communities. The cross border adventure captures the romance of Indochina en route into Vietnam's bustling metropolis of Saigon.

Days 13-16 Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Leaving your floating hotel behind you'll be staying at an equally fabulous alternative, the Pullman Saigon in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, where you'll experience one of the highlights of your trip: an after-dark tour from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter. Stops include a traditional quan, where locals congregate for their evening meal to sample street food, and a Vietnamese-style coffee shop. The evening wraps up at one of the city's predominantly local clubs where you can watch live acoustic music. It's the perfect end to your exploration of life along the Mekong River.
