Weather
Due to the size of the country, Madagascar experiences a range of climatic conditions. The heaviest rainfall tends to fall on the east coast and in the north particularly through the cyclone season between December and March. The highlands and parts of the south west remain fairly dry year round although sharp showers can be experienced in Fort Dauphin area.

Dramatic scenery of sandstone rocks which over the years have been cut into deep canyons and eroded by the wind to create unusual shape for the backdrop of this unique park. Rare endemic plants including the unique Elephant's Foot, which is a rock-climbing plant as well as the native species of aloe make this park a botanists dream. On the canyons floors the forest is home to the ring-tailed lemur, red-fronted brown lemurs and the Verreaux's sifakus. Visit the park at sunset to take in the view from Fenetre which is a natural rock formation window from which to view the sun setting. The Isalo National Park is also a sacred burial site for the Bara tribe, who use the caves in the canyon walls as burial sites.

First experience with A&K. Intended to ask various travel companies for quotes but Vicky (Agnew) was so good with her suggestions that we did not seek alternative quotations the suggested itinerary was excellent and helped us decide on a balanced and interesting holiday.![]()
