This beautiful and unique hotel has been created by Orient Express by purchasing a number of colonial houses around the town all with slightly different personalities. Our favourites are Casa Limon and Casa Palma next door to each other, set around gardens and a pool and close to the bar and restaurant. Also delightful is Casa Parque across town with big gardens and another al fresco restaurant. The colonial suites have a terrace and private plunge pool but all other rooms have outdoor terraces. For complete luxury, the Presidential Suite has a complete rooftop with barbeque, bar, sofas and a private plunge pool. One block away is the cooking school Sazon where classes and demonstrations can be arranged and one further block takes you to their beautiful spa. One of the loveliest of the many great rooms room is 444 in Casa Limon with a beautiful private terrace overlooking the gardens and pool and with a private plunge pool.

Best time to be there
October to April as the rainy season works its way up from the south beginning in May and running until September. Hurricanes may occur from July to October. December to February are the coolest months, when northerly winds can sometimes take inland northern Mexico temperatures down to freezing.
