NEED TO KNOW

  • All the suites and residences have private outdoor spaces, some with plunge pools
  • Perched on a cliff overlooking the atmospheric Zihuatanejo Bay, La Casa que Canta is as idyllic as it is unique
  • The restaurant specialises in traditional Mexican seafood dishes
  • A small Clarins spa offers a variety of treatments, whilst Yoga lessons are also available
  • The hotel has a magical freshwater infinity pool and a two-tiered salt water pool that cascades down to the ocean
  • Other facilities include a lovely terrace, bars, a fitness centre, cooking lessons and a gift shop
  • We recommend the Private Residences, El Ensueño and El Mumullo, for their sumptuous interiors, free form plunge pools and outdoor dining areas.

THE HOTEL
Ingeniously sculpted onto a promontory and with an extraordinary tiered architecture, La Casa Que Canta (or the 'House that Sings') is both striking and beautiful. Its pink adobe houses topped with thick thatched roofs are the very quintessence of México, whilst the infinity edge pool overlooking the bay is superb.

Simple elegance and bright local colour feature in all the 25 suites, where detail such as hand painted furniture, artisan hammocks and embroidered linen exemplify an almost obsessive attention to detail.  The décor is all about simple sophistication allied with rustic chic - epitomised by tiled floors, hand made wooden furniture and textured stone and adobe walls.  Meanwhile, all open out onto private terraces with breath taking panoramic views across the bay.
