The creation of Hotel Be Tulum marks a coming of age for the traditionally hippy hangout of Tulum, south of the more well-known and developed resorts along Mexico's Riviera Maya. The twenty exclusive suites are nestled in a shady palm grove between the jungle and pristine white sand beach. The chic Argentinean designed interiors hint at gaucho charm, with leather chairs, hide rugs and exposed stone walls. October to April as the rainy season works its way up from the south beginning in May and running until September. Hurricanes may occur from July to October. December to February are the coolest months, when northerly winds can sometimes take inland northern Mexico temperatures down to freezing.
