Best time to be there

Morocco is warm and sunny year round. The best time to visit is mid-February to June and September to December. Coastal Morocco is cooled by sea breezes. The peaks of the Atlas Mountains are snow-capped for most of the year.

Morocco's coastline is beautiful and stretches for hundreds of miles and is for the most part totally undeveloped. Agadir in the south coupled with the beaches at Essaouira and Oualidia are large and impressive. Beautifully situated on the Atlantic Coast about a two and half hours drive from Marrakech, with miles of unspoiled beaches, the harbour town of Essaouira is a hot spot amongst watersports fans. The medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fine example of a late 18th century fortified town. Explore the narrow paths of the charming old quarter with its blue doors and whitewashed houses.

Off the beaten track located between Essaouira and Casablanca, Oualidia is one of Morocco's most stunning lagoons with a dramatic natural landscape as a backdrop, this charming coastal town, offers many sea activities and has a great reputation for gastronomy.

We have handpicked L'Heure Bleue Palais and La Sultana Oualidia as our suggested accommodation for your stay on this coast. The cities of Rabat and Casablanca are also coastal but are more suitable as inclusion in a journey of Morocco.

Guest Testimonial

We appreciated knowing the travel specialist (Katie Sims) from the previous A&K holiday. The hotels in Grenada and Cordoba were excellent.
The Renfe trains from Grenada to Malaga were very impressive. On time, comfortable and fast.
