Best time to be there

Whilst year round Morocco is warm and sunny, the best time to visit is from mid February to June and from September to December. Coastal Morocco is cooled by breezes off the Mediterranean and Atlantic. The peaks of the Atlas Mountains are snow capped for most of the year.

Casablanca

Made famous by the film bearing its name and starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, Casablanca is Morocco's largest city with a population of over 3 million.  Today it is a very different place to that portrayed in the film and resembles a southern European city.  It is the industrial heart of Morocco and often referred to as the economic capital.  Home to Morocco's chief port, one of the largest artificial ports in the world, it is also the primary base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.
