THE LODGE
Located on its own island in the remote Kwando River, six spacious brick and thatch suites equipped with double bathroom, bedroom, lounge and wooden viewing deck also feature a private plunge pool, perfect for unwinding and watching the game and abundant birdlife around you.
The endless savannahs, glistening lily-studded wetlands and ancient Kalahari woodlands are your backdrop from the main complex which is home to the spacious lounge, dining areas and small reference library.
Numerous elephants as well as buffalo, hippos, many antelope species, hyenas, lions and leopards inhabit this area.
Spend the evening at Horseshoe Bend where in the dry season, elephants by their hundreds come down to drink at times.
Our consultant (Annie Jensen) really was excellent designing a great itinery minimising our time waiting around for transfers and both hotels, Four Seasons Bali and Oberoi Lombok exceeded our expections.
