Wolwedans Dunes Lodge
Why we like it
- Sleeping with your canvas blinds open is as good as sleeping under the stars
- Enjoy the many activities in the area on foot, by car or from the air
- The experienced guides will introduce you to the diverse flora and fauna of the area
Spend the afternoon lazing in the swimming pool which is uniquely suspended above the sand with fantastic views of the surrounding areas.
Joanne Swinton was excellent and dealt with our numerous changes with courtesy and timely attention. Some of the places we stayed we might not have found without A&K and we would certainly return to them.

Dunes Lodge is perched on top of a dune plateau in the NamibRand Nature Reserve which is located in southern Namibia. The lodge offers panoramic views in all directions which capture the beauty of the desert in a most memorable way. The lodge reflects the ambience of a tented camp, but provides the comfort and protection of a permanent building. There are nine spacious chalets with en-suite bathroom and private verandah. The main building has two lounges, a fireplace, tea deck, library, wine cellar and two dining rooms, all of which open out onto decks with superb views.
