JON NICHOLSON REVEIW OF YUNNAN AND FUTURE TRIPS
My review of my Yunnan photography trip is out in their magazine, this coincides with the advent of our 2011 calendar. We shall be visiting India, Tibet, Bhutan, China, it all kicks off with a short trip with Telegraph Journalist Kieran Meeke next week to Morocco. He is accompanying me for two days of my five day shoot for their Travel section.
On these trips the groups will learn what's it like to come away with a professional photographer. we don't just swan around good hotels it can be very taxing we have to wake up each morning, mostly very early and get to places where we can get pictures ahead of the crowds.
We shall be doing long weekend trips too, to some destinations closer to home. But I shall put up some pics from the India location. basically we are doing 3 days in Varanasi and then travelling south to an area where a good friend of mine lives, its very rural, farming mostly. His land has some very old cave paintings, well over two thousand years old, no tourists which makes it very easy to work. I go there regularly to work with these villagers.
