Day 1 - London to Oslo

Having arrived into Oslo Gardemoen Airport, a member of the A&K team will meet you for your private transfer to your hotel, First Hotel Grims Grenke where you will stay for the next two nights.

Day 2 - Oslo Sightseeing
Oslo as with many European capital cities is diverse and replete with museums, restaurants and top class hotels. This morning you will enjoy a 4 hour tour of Oslo and the surrounding area with your private guide.
The day will begin with a drive through the city to the Opera house, passing the Akershus Fortress, the renowned Karl Johan shopping street, Parliament Building and Royal Palace as you go. Next you will visit the City Hall; Built in 1931, it is one of Norway's most famous buildings and characterised by its stunning architecture. After exploring inside, the next stop will be the Vigeland Sculpture Park; Created by Gustav Vigeland, more than 200 stone, bronze and wrought iron sculptures represent the different stages of life. Continuing through Norway's most expensive neighbourhoods, along with your guide, you will make the climb up Holmenkollen Hill to see the famous ski jump. This afternoon will be spent at leisure.

Day 3 - Oslo to Balestrand
Early this morning you will be privately transferred to Oslo train station for the Sognefjord in a Nutshell trip, taking you from Oslo to Bergen. The train will journey through to the beautiful region of Flåm, situated in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord, slowly passing by tumbling waterfalls, lakes, valleys and steep mountainsides.
In the afternoon, you will board the Expressboat and journey through the longest and deepest fjord in the World, Sognefjord, to the charming village of Balestrand. Your overnight stay will be spent at the famous Kviknes historic hotel.

Day 4 - Balestrand to Bergen
Enjoy the morning at leisure to explore Balestrand; hike one of the many nature trails, relax down by the marina or experience the village's artistic culture.
Then in the afternoon, you will board the Expressboat once more to continue on your journey to Bergen, passing through Gulen, the narrow sounds and the beautiful skerries of Nordhordaland. Having arrived in Bergen, you will be privately transferred to Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret, where you will stay for the next two nights.

Day 5 - Bergen Sightseeing
Today, you will be met by your guide for a walking tour of Bergen. Bergen is Norway's second largest city and understandably the most popular, as a European Capital of Culture and World Heritage City its home of some most exquisite natural landscapes on earth.
The tour will begin with a journey on the Fløien funicular taking you up Mount Fløyen, where you will enjoy the panoramic views across the surrounding area. Next is a visit to the Hanseatic Museum, home to the only house on Bryggen to have kept its original interior.
Finally you will visit the Hanseatic Quarters; one of the most known quarters from the Middle Ages in Norway. Destroyed in a fire in the beginning of the 18th century, the houses were then rebuilt in the same style as the former buildings from 1350.

Day 6 - Bergen to Oslo
This morning you will depart Bergen by train as you travel east back to Oslo. As you journey through the spectacular landscape you will cross the biggest plateau in Europe, Hardangervidda. Having arrived back into Oslo, a member of the A&K team will meet you for your private transfer to your hotel, First Hotel Grims Grenke, for your overnight stay.

Day 7 - Oslo to London
This morning you will be privately transferred to Oslo Gardemoen Airport for your return flight home.
