Oman, 7 Nights

Experience a Dhow cruise, the port city of Muscat and the vast Wahiba Sands.

Day 1 - London/Dubai.
A relaxing overnight flight with British Airways to Dubai starts your journey.

Day 2 - Dubai/Khasab.
Cross the Omani border to Khasab in the rugged Musandam Peninsula.

Day 3 - Khasab.
At the village of Qada pre-historic rock art can be seen depicting camels, ships, and warriors dressed for battle.See the abundant sea life and perhaps we may sight cormorants and steppe eagles on our lesiurely dhow cruise.

Day 4 - Khasab/Nizwa/Wahiba Sands.
Drive into the rugged interior of Oman to the historic village of Nizwa, where you can explore the spectacular Nizwa fort, whose huge round tower is the largest in Oman. Look out for a dhub, a large spiny tailed lizard, on your way to the protected wildlife area of Wahiba Sands. Dine in the sands, drink coffee from a finjan and sleep in a traditional Bedouin tent.

Day 5 - Wahiba Sands/Muscat.
Tour of the House of Amouage to see how the perfumes are blended before indulging in an impressive variety of date products. See distinctive Omani crafts made by native artisans at the Omani Heritage centre.

Day 6 - Muscat.

See the sights of this enchanting port city including the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a religious landmark showcasing unique Islamic architecture. Interact with Omanis over lunch before a visit to Muscat Old Town. See the Omani antique stalls in Muttrah souq and the gold shops renowned for its old craftmanship style.

Day 7 - Muscat.

Enjoy a cocktail by the Chedi pool, or perhaps a game of tennis on your day at leisure.

Day 8 - Muscat.
Depart on your morning international flight home or extend your journey on the Frankincense Trails, ask your consultant for details.
