THE HOTEL
La Casona is Cusco's first luxury boutique hotel. A former colonial manor house, it was amongst the earliest Spanish constructions in Cusco, built over an Inca complex and occupied by the conquistadores themselves.
Immaculately restored to exacting specifications, it has just 11 well-equipped suites circling a traditional central courtyard. Furnished with antiques and retaining original architectural detail, each suite features a sitting area with open fireplace and a plush spa-style marble bathroom.
Attention to detail and a truly personalised experience can be felt in all aspects of the hotel - from the resident butler to the superb amenities.
We appreciated knowing the travel specialist (Katie Sims) from the previous A&K holiday. The hotels in Grenada and Cordoba were excellent.
