Depart London for the overnight flight to Lima.
Arrive in Lima and enjoy some time in the coastal city, exploring the catacombs and fountain displays of Lima.
Depart Lima and fly onto the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Staying at Sol-y Luna, a chic family-friendly hotel, spend the next couple of days river rafting, mountain biking, riding Peruvian Paso horses or quad-biking. Explore the vibrant Urubamba region, where you can raft, hike and ride horses and mountain bikes.
Spend the day at Sol-y-Luna. This charming property is our favourite property within the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Take a train up to the iconic Machu Picchu and spend the night at the foot of the famous Incan citadel and learn learning about its fascinating history.
Return to Cusco by train and spend the next couple of days exploring.

Days 8 -12
Fly to Iquitos via Lima. Cruise along the two largest tributaries of the Amazon, the Ucayali and the Maranon on board the spacious and extremely luxurious MV Aqua. You are likely to observe all manner of wonderful wildlife; monkeys, sloths, pink dolphins and hundreds of varieties of fish. You will have plenty of chance to disembark and explore the banks on small boats and take jungle walks to learn about local medicinal plants and see the world's largest aquatic plant, the Victoria Regias giant water lily.
