NEED TO KNOW

  • The vast beauty of the Lake Titicaca can be observed from every room of the hotel
  • The hotel is hidden on the private island of Suasi on a mild and sheltered hill next to magnificent Andean terraces full of flowers
  • The restaurant features a menu, prepared by one of Peru's best chefs, fusing Andean ingredients with modern cooking techniques
  • The hotel has a sauna and massage room
  • Other facilities include a log fire-warmed communal areas, an Andean Cultural Interpretation Centre including a small museum and excellent library, canoes and a zodiac dinghy, gardens and terraces with hammocks and a wide range of guide-led island activities

THE HOTEL
More than a place, Casa Andina Private Collection Suasi Island is an experience. Its 106 acres are home to three of the four South American camelids, which wander the island while guests relax in the gardens, canoe around the island or enjoy lunch on the lake shore.

Built with local materials such as stone, adobe and totora reed, the hotel uses solar energy and grows a large majority of the kitchen's vegetables.

The twenty or so rooms and two-bedroom shorefront Andean Villa with private butler are comfortable, locally styled and with excellent views.  Décor combines white walls with dark, hardwood detailing and local craft items.

Guest Testimonial

Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with A&K. There was a fascinating mix of location and camp styles and the particular sequence worked very well for us.
