Peru, 14 Nights
Day 1 - London/Lima
Fly with British Airways or Iberia from London to Madrid then connect with LAN Airlines to Lima. Two nights at the Miraflores Park Hotel.
Day 2 - Lima
This morning, enjoy a city tour of Lima beginning with a visit to the historic quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you can wander around the Plaza Mayor, the official centre of the city and the original site on which Lima was founded. Continue on to the historic Cathedral and the Presidential Palace.
Day 3 - Lima/Arequipa
Morning flight to 'The White City' of Arequipa. Afternoon visit to the pretty 16th Century Santa Catalina Convent and the Plaza de Armas, surrounded by colonial era buildings including the Cathedral. Overnight at the Casa Andina Private Collection Hotel.
Day 4 - Arequipa/Colca Canyon
Enjoy a scenic four-hour drive through the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, under the shadows of Ampato Volcano, to your hotel located in the heart of the Colca Canyon. Two nights at the Casitas del Colca.
Day 5 - Colca Canyon
A day 'a la carte' excursions which may include seeing the flight of the condors in their natural habitat, visiting the local villages with their unique churches and marveling at the beautiful pre-Columbian terraces that are still farmed today.
Day 6 - Colca Canyon/Puno
This morning set off on a full day drive across the Pampa Canahuas to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Two nights at the Titilaka Hotel.
Day 7 - Puno
A la carte excursions organised by Titilaka Hotel. Options include visiting the fascinating and colourful island of Taquile and Uros, canoeing on the lake or just relaxing with the beautiful views and peace offered by the lake. Continue on to the interesting floating reed islands of Uros.
Day 8 - Puno/Cusco
Travel by train on a spectacular eight-hour journey across the altiplano from Puno to Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire. The Hotel Monasterio is your base for the next three nights.
Day 9 - Cusco
Morning guided walk around this magical city with its cathedral and the beautiful Plaza de Armas flanked by colonial archways, then visit the Inca sites of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cusco.
Day 10 - Urubamba
A day exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visiting the colourful town of Pisac and the impressive Incan fortress at Ollantaytambo. We also invite you to visit our A&K Philanthrophy Project 'Children of the Rainbow', located in the Sacred Valley. 'Children of the Rainbow' offers a future to extremely deprived children in the Sacred Valley providing food, medical and dental care, school and additional education. Return to Cusco.
Day 11 - Cusco/Machu Picchu
Take the spectacular Vistadome train journey to Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas in the tropical foothills of the Andes. Overnight at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel.
Day 12 - Machu Picchu/Cusco
A chance to admire the breathtaking ruins at sunrise, followed by the return rail and road journey to Cusco. Overnight at the Hotel Monasterio.
Day 13 - Cusco/Lima
Fly to Lima and transfer to the Miraflores Park Plaza Hotel.
Day 14 - Lima/London
Transfer to the airport for your LAN Airlines flight to Madrid. Connect with the British Airways or Iberia flight to London. Arrive day 15.
