Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Why we like it
- Delicious and filling cuisine provided even with limited facilities
- Fluent English speaking guides with many years experience
- Baggage carried for you which allows more time to apprecaite the scenary
- Stunning and well preserved ruins
- Massage therapist for those end of day aches
After a long days walking all you really need is a massage, fortunately with our specialised trips we can organise massage theraspists to accompany your party. Starting out they may seem unnecessary however a few nights in you'll be overjoyed when it's finally your turn.
All the countless immigration procedures were extremely well handled and were flawless. So, well done to you and all of the A&K team at every level of the company. You have proved you really understand how to handle ‘uber luxury’.

Take the original Inca Trail and add a touch of A&K luxury, including top of the range camping equipment, fine food, experienced guides and porters, the best campsites and even a massage therapist. Enjoy four exhilarating days of hiking before emerging at the magical citadel itself through the Sun Gate. Altitude does make trekking here demanding but also an experience never to be forgotten.
See the ancient wonders of the Incas as you trek through an ever changing terrain of mountain valleys and high passes whilst enjoying fantastic views, original Incan pathways and fascinating archaeological sites, ending each day with a hearty meal, a glass of wine or pisco and a well-earned rest.
Note that the number of permits for both trekkers and porters are heavily regulated and the numbers are limited per day, so it is highly recommended to book your Inca Trail well in advance.
Best time to be there
Being such a geographically diverse country the weather in Peru is determined both by altitude and season. May to October is the best time to travel although the Amazon area is hot and humid throughout the year.
