Golden Eagle Luxury Trains
Why we like it
- Travel to some of the world's most remote regions - Siberia, Mongolia & the Legendary Silk Road
- Lunch & dinner complemented by an excellent choice of wines
- Three categories of cabins all with en-suite facilities
- Cabin attendant on call 24 hours a day
All tours are run by an experienced tour manager and include a wide-ranging sightseeing schedule to make the most of the time you have off the train for exploring. Included are special little touches that help create magical memories - whether it is attending a private concert in the middle of Siberia; or visiting a local family home in the Steppes of Mongolia.
Thank you for helping us organise our trip to Cambodia and Beijing. We had an incredible time! We were amazed that despite the pace we felt very relaxed. It was also wonderful only having the responsibility of deciding what to eat! Thank you again for putting together such a wonderful itinerary. We are new fans of A&K!

The Golden Eagle selection of journeys operates through Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, South Caucasus, Mongolia and China. Each itinerary is designed and operated exclusively by Golden Eagle and they are careful to never lose sight of the little things that really matter, so that you can experience any of the journeys in a relaxed and informed manner. They take care of all the details and make accessible unforgettable destinations that are often difficult for independent travellers to visit. Each tour is meticulously planned by experienced and knowledgeable staff ensuring you a unique travel experience.
Golden Eagle Luxury trains contain some of the finest accommodation available in luxury train travel today, offering a high level of comfort; particularly important in the cabins, which will be your 'hotel room on wheels'.
All departures feature one or two lovingly designed restaurant cars and a spacious bar lounge car. So, as well as enjoying the excellent food and wine served on board, you can sit with a drink while enjoying the good company and conversation of fellow travellers; and watch the changing landscapes unfold.
Travelling with Golden Eagle will not only be an unforgettable experience but truly a Voyage of a Lifetime. The utmost care is taken to ensure that all of your pre-booking, pre-departure and travel needs are met with the same high standards of service - whether you are enquiring about one of the tours or asking your onboard attendant to bring afternoon tea to your cabin.
The Golden Eagle Dining Experience
With a stylish restaurant car, reminiscent of the early 20th century, The Golden Eagle presents you with a truly unique dining atmosphere. A team of highly experienced chefs prepare meals out of freshly sourced produce that reflect local influences of the region, and caviar appears as standard on the menu. Beer and soft drink are included at all times throughout the journey and a selection of fine wine is also included with lunch and dinner.
Peter the Great Lounge & Bar Car
The social heart of the train is its cosy lounge and bar car, where a pianist plays and drinks are served as the ever-changing scenery slips past your window. And on the Golden Eagle, there's no last call - the bar is open until the last person leaves.
All accommodation as per the itinerary; both on board the train and in hotels; all meals starting with dinner on the first day (on some tours this may differ slightly, so please refer to the specific itinerary); a generous allowance of wine, beer, soft drinks and tea and coffee with all lunches and dinners both on and off the train (except where stated otherwise); all arrival and departure transfers; guided off-train sightseeing excursions; the services of experienced tour leaders; complimentary tea, coffee and mineral water 24 hours a day, all gratuities; and a doctor travelling with the group.
Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express - 15 days
The world's greatest railway journey, the Trans-Siberian runs like a steel ribbon connecting east and west from Moscow over the Urals, across the Russian steppes and alongside the shore of the world's largest freshwater lake, Baikal. Follow the classic route between Moscow and Vladivostok so by the time your journey ends you will have travelled over 6,000 miles (10,000kms). If you are going to 'do the Trans-Siberian', do it in style onboard the Golden Eagle. There is a Winter Wonderland departure too to see Russia with its snowy backdrop.
Trans-Mongolian Express - largest event in Mongolia the Naadam Festival - 13 days
Naadam is the one and only Big Event in Mongolia - a spectacular national festival, held every year. Naadam literally means 'three manly games'. Known as the world's second oldest Olympics, it celebrates what defined civilisation in the Steppes eight centuries ago; archery, wrestling and horse riding.
The Silk Road - A Legendary Journey - 13 or 21 days
