    The Taj Cape Town

    Cape Town , South Africa

The Taj Cape Town is set in the heart of historic Cape Town.  The hotel itself was originally the home of the South African Reserve Bank and Temple Chambers and later the Board of Executors. An extensive refurbishment has brought in modern day luxuries yet still keeping the charm and heritage of the building.

The Mint restaurant is an intimate three-level restaurant with an amazing open-plan show kitchen. The floor to ceiling glass fronted wine cellar adds to the magnificent ambiance of the restaurant.   Curries at the Bombay Brassiere are not to be missed or sip a glass of champagne while eating seafood tapas at Twankey Seafood, Champagne and Oyster Bar.

With 166 room the hotel offers a selection of 11 room types.  These include a two-bedroomed Presidential Suite which is split-level or Luxury Rooms which have either views of the magnificent Table Mountain or overlooking the vibrant city of Cape Town. With the addition of news floors onto the original building the Taj Cape Town also offer rooms with a walk-out balcony to enjoy the views of the wonderful city of Cape Town.
