Day 1 - London/Johannesburg
Depart London this evening on your overnight flight to Johannesburg.
Day 2 - Johannesburg/Sabi Sands
On arrival early this morning, take a shared light aircraft flight to Sabi Sands. Stay at the Lion Sands River Lodge for three nights, situated in one of the finest wilderness areas in the Southern Kruger National Park region.
Day 3 and 4 - Sabi Sands
Lion Sands is the only property to have substantial access to the perennial Sabie River, ensuring an awesome diversity of wildlife. The Lion Sands ranger and tracker teams are carefully trained to ensure world-class game viewing experiences. Day 5 - Sabi Sands/Johannesburg/Plettenberg
Depart this morning by shared light aircraft from Sabi Sands, followed by a flight from Johannesburg to George Airport, arriving late afternoon. The Plettenberg is an exclusive Relais & Chateaux Hotel, built on a rocky headland in spectacular Plettenberg Bay with vistas of the sea, mountains and miles of golden sand.
Days 6 and 7 - Plettenberg
This morning, collect your rental vehicle to begin your explorations of the Plettenberg Bay region. The Plettenberg is one of the best viewing sites for whale-watching during the winter months. Enjoy the idyllic location, unsurpassed views of Formosa Bay and award-winning wine cellar stocked with a selection of the best local wines.
Days 8 and 9 - Plettenberg/ Birkenhead
Perched high on the cliffs of Hermanus, overlooking the whale watchers' paradise of Walker Bay, is the regal Birkenhead House. It is decorated to reflect its coastal setting, adorned with rare maritime antiques. With its expansive vistas of Walker Bay, spot the majestic Southern Right whales that enter the sheltered waters every year to calve. And just a short distance away are Hermanus' two best swimming beaches, mountain trails and a thriving floral kingdom. Return to the House for lavish meals and seafood delicacies.
Days 10 to 13 - Cape Cadogan
The Cape Cadogan Hotel is situated in the beautiful Gardens area of Cape Town. It was originally a farmhouse which was 'Victorianised' in 1912 and declared a national monument in 1984. Bohemian chic is Cape Cadogan's hallmark, themed on the Irish literary figure Oscar Wilde who was renowned for his Bohemian lifestyle during the latter part of the 19th Century. Relax in front of the open fireplace, enjoy a quiet day in the library or stroll through the gardens.
Day 14 - Cape Town
Depart Cape Town this evening with your return overnight flight to London Heathrow.
