Day 1 UK / Cape Town
Maximise your time by flying overnight to Cape Town.

Day 2 Cape Town
The best place to get your bearings in beautiful Cape Town is at the top of Table Mountain: from the iconic mountain, the city and sea spread out before in glorious tecnicolour. If the weather suits, your private guide will escort you to the summit, before driving you around the main sites from wave pounded shores and buzzy harbour to poignant museums. Your home here is the bohemian Cape Cadogan, a boutique hotel set within an early 19th century mansion, offering convenience and glamour in equal measure.
Cape Cadogan

Days 3 to 4 Cape Town
There's so much to see in this vibrant city. Dip into art galleries, sample the thriving foodie scene, sip sundowners on the V&A Waterfront, explore the brightly coloured Bo-Kaap neighbourhood and familiarise yourself with the local species at both Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the Two Oceans Aquarium. Alternatively, venture a little further out, to sip and swill in the world-class Winelands or waddle with African penguins on Boulders Beach.
Cape Cadogan | Meals: Breakfast

Day 5 Cape Town / Kalahari
Swap city chic for endless sand: this morning you'll fly to the Kalahari Desert, to stay in Tswalu. This truly exceptional reserve is one of the largest private concessions in Africa, encompassing around 1,000 sq km of untamed bush and two supreme safari lodges: the eight thatched bungalows of Motse and super exclusive Tarkuni. At both you can head out on bush walks, horse rides and game drives with dedicated field guides and the reserve's ecologists. Finish your day with a sundowner on the dunes.
Tswalu | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Days 6 to 8 Tswalu Kalahari Reserve
Sink into the serene pace of life at Tswalu. The landscape here is unique, combining typical Kalahari sand and savannah with the Korannaberg Mountains. Morning and evening drives might encounter hunting cheetah, desert black rhino, huge Kalahari lions, unusual antelopes and hundreds of meerkats. In between the awe-inspiring wildlife viewing, you can slot in spa treatments, balloon rides, private dinners on the dunes and trips to ancient rock art sites, which may be up to 380,000 years old.
Tswalu | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 9 Tswalu / Johannesburg
Wrench yourself away from Tswalu for a flight to Johannesburg, overnighting in the city before the next leg of your adventure.
InterContinental | Meals: Breakfast

Days 10 Johannesburg / Sabi Sands
It's a short flight to Sabi Sands, a private reserve bordering Kruger National Park. This means Sabi Sands has all the same if not more wonderful wildlife but far fewer people, and far fewer restrictions. Enjoy your first game drive this afternoon in search of the elusive leopard.
Lion Sands River Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Days 11 to 12 Sabi Sands

Spend two days in this African wonderland. Head out on game drives to look for the Big Five, or watch the wildlife coming to the river from the lodge itself.
Lion Sands River Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 13 Sabi Sands / Johannesburg / UK
Fly out of the bush, bound for Johannesburg, ready for your evening flight to the UK
