Cybele is situated 420km east of Johannesburg in the heart of Mpumalanga between White River and Hazyview. It is 40km from the Phabeni Gate into the Kruger National Park and close to many of the exclusive private game reserves in the Sabi Sands. Limited to a maximum of 28 guests, housed in a variety of individual suites and cottages, privacy and fine service is assured. Original works of art adorn the walls, underfloor heating and open fires ensure that the atmosphere is cosy, particularly during the cooler winter months.
Cybele is all about relaxation. There are superb walks on the property down through the forest to the river and along to the waterfall. With their own horses, enjoy some breathtaking rides through the forest, where experienced grooms are on hand to lead you on an adventure of discovery. The fully-equipped gym overlooks the garden and forest whilst the heated swimming pool is just a short walk away. On entering the spa you will find yourself in a completely private and peaceful zen courtyard, where lemon trees and mint bushes gently scent the air. A wide range of treatments have been designed to rejuvenate the body and soul. The cuisine at Cybele is created from the freshest of locally grown organic produce and is complemented by an award-winning wine list.

Best time to be there
October to May is the best time to visit the Cape. Game viewing is better during the drier months of April to September. The wildflower season is generally from mid August to mid September. The whale watching season runs from June to November.
