The Western and Northern Capes are rich with blankets of springtime flowers, mountains adorned with ancient rock art and remote desert wilderness. Further north, the former hunting region of the ancient San people, is a rural retreat with over 130 rock art sites dating back over 10,000 years. Tswalu Kalahari Reserve is an amazing wilderness experience. It is here that one of the largest conservation projects has been established with the introduction of thousands of game animals. Recently the area has become well known for the filming of the BBC TV programme. Meerkat Manor.

An Abercrombie & Kent Western Cape holiday and Northern Cape holiday are the perfect ways to explore this vibrant region, ideal for both families and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
