Franschhoek Country House & Villas is a restored manor house dating back to 1890 and has the ambience of a French provincial village with water features, fountains, cobblestones and olive trees. 14 rooms and 12 exclusive Villa Suites which have spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, fountain courtyard and swimming pools. The Villa Suites boast many luxuries including an entertainment facility with satellite television, DVD player and a music system that extends from the lounge to the bedroom and bathroom. The Monneaux Restaurant is consistently rated as one of the top restaurants in South Africa. More energetic activities available to guests include access to mountain bikes and wine tasting on horseback.

Best time to be there
October to May is the best time to visit the Cape. Game viewing is better during the drier months of April to September. The wildflower season is generally from mid August to mid September. The whale watching season runs from June to November.
