El Palace Hotel
Why we like it
- Grand luxury hotel in the heart of Barcelona.
- A hotel rich in architecture and history
- Close to Las Ramblas and the city's main attractions.
- Michelin-starred restaurant The Caelis Restaurant.
- Mayan Luxury Spa with a Temazcal Sauna.
Enjoy classically British afternoon tea, with sandwiches and scones with clotted cream, at the delightful 19/Nineteen restaurant.
We found A&K first rate when I worked with Rob Mason in organising our trip to Russia in 2014 so decided to use A&K again for our trip this time to India. The first trip boosted our confidence in your company. Our Guide in St. Petersburg was perfect! The hotel was lovely in that it was of a very high standard but also very historic and in keeping with the beauty of the City. All this has boosted our confidence to try India

A well-known city landmark, El Palace Hotel has been through all of the remarkable events which have affected Barcelona, during the last century. All rooms are carefully decorated, with high ceilings and large windows. The décor is elegant, with classic furnishings and neutral tones lending a comfortable feel. All rooms benefit from the most modern equipment such as air-conditioning, satellite TV, direct telephone, Wi-Fi internet access, safe and mini-bar. The one Michelin star restaurant, Caelis, offers contemporary international cuisine, while breakfast is served at The Garden each morning. The AE Restaurant serves light lunches and dinners in a French brasserie environment, there are also 2 bars.
Best time to be there
Spain is best visited in the springtime, when the temperatures are generally warm and comfortable. Autumn is equally comfortable, though less green and the landscapes are drier. July and August are very hot.
