Kandalama is an ingeniously designed eco-friendly hotel, set against a verdant backdrop of unspoilt tropical jungle. Rocks, caves, running water and wild woodland creeper feature heavily throughout its landscaped grounds and there are several bird-watching trails where enthusiasts can spot up to 160 different species. These touches of nature blend attractively with the hotel's first class modern amenities.

Best time to be there
During our winter months, when the humidity is lower and the temperature more comfortable for sightseeing and exploration. However, the monsoon season of May to September should not be discounted for travel as the whole of Sri Lanka is bursting into lush greenery due to the rainfall showing you a side of this island not everyone sees.

Guest Testimonial
We appreciated knowing the travel specialist (Katie Sims) from the previous A&K holiday. The hotels in Grenada and Cordoba were excellent.
The Renfe trains from Grenada to Malaga were very impressive. On time, comfortable and fast. ![]()
