Experience a Sri Lankan feast with ten different Sri Lankan curries offered to discover and understand the tantalizing balance of spices and different flavours. (This special evening occurs twice a week)
The accommodation was first class in all the places we stayed from the Eco Lodges at Vil Uyana and the 98 Acres Resort to the colonial ambience of Kandy House and the Galle Fort Hotel and finally the unique Paradise Road Villa. In all locations the service was superb and the food excellent.

A chic charming hotel set away from the bustle of Kandy but close enough to be able to explore this fascinating town adorned with temples and cultural sites. Indulge in the tranquillity offered at Kandy House. Personal service and attention to detail are of the highest quality here. With five deluxe rooms and four ultra rooms all named after butterflies. The accommodation is beautiful the ultra rooms are larger and have access onto a private veranda with chaise lounges, reading chairs and table perfect for private dining and relaxing. This 200 year old house is a real treat with high ceilings creating light and space surrounded by a beautiful jungle garden and only a 20 - 30 minute drive from Kandy. Children are welcome over the age of 12 years old.
Best time to be there
During our winter months, when the humidity is lower and the temperature more comfortable for sightseeing and exploration. However, the monsoon season of May to September should not be discounted for travel as the whole of Sri Lanka is bursting into lush greenery due to the rainfall showing you a side of this island not everyone sees.
