Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France
Why we like it
- Cheval Blanc Saint-Barth Isle de France is set on Baie des Flamands, one of St Barthelemy's most treasured beaches
- All rooms, suites and villas offer private outdoor spaces
- The restaurant, La Casa de l'Isle, serves fresh and elegant French cuisine
- Home to a world-class spa
- There are two freshwater swimming pools, one overlooking the beach and one set amid the tropical gardens
Take advantage of the hotel's complimentary snorkelling equipment and observe the kaleidoscopic array of marine life residing below the surface.
Just to let you know that we had an excellent trip - significantly enhanced by the your tour director Michael Ye. He was a credit to A&K - professional, attentive to our needs, well organised, knowledgeable and extremely engaging.

This gorgeous hotel beautifully combines the unpretentious spirit of the West Indies with the sophisticated style of the South of France. Surrounded by white sand beaches, turquoise waters and tropical gardens, and cooled by gentle sea breezes, it feels like a true island paradise. All 40 rooms, suites and villas are individually designed and are either perched upon the hillside, set on the beach or nestled within the gardens. We like the one bedroom Beach Suites and three-bedroom Flamands Villas, which are located on the beach with private infinity pools.
Dine at La Case de L'Isle, where chef Yann Vinsot serves up delicious locally inspired French cuisine, salads and fresh grilled fish overlooking Flamands Bay, or at La Cabane de L'Isle for a feet-in-the-sand lunch or private dinner. The White Bar offers all-day dining in the form of light dishes and cocktails around the gorgeous freshwater pool, overlooking the beach. The Cheval Blanc Spa and Pavilion is hidden in the gardens, offering Guerlain rituals exclusive to the Caribbean. You will also have access to watersports, boating, horse riding, tennis (available locally) and a fitness centre.

Best time to travel
December - March
The best time to travel to St Barths is during our winter months of December to March. The island enjoys a warm, subtropical, although sometimes humid, climate with temperatures moderated by trade winds.
