THE HOTEL
Beit Al Mamlouka is Syria's first boutique hotel and is built around a central courtyard with citrus trees and a fountain. Located in the Christian quarter of Damascus' old city, within a few minutes' walk of the city's rambling souks and ancient culture, the property dates back to the 17th Century.
Lovingly restored, Beit Al Mamlouka is a haven of peace amidst the bustling crowds of Damascus. It is tucked away in a narrow cobbled street and furnished in traditional style, but with all the individuality and charm of a contemporary boutique hotel. The hotel is instantly recognisable thanks to its salmon-pink walls and heavy wooden doors.
For ultimate experience book the Suleiman Suite with its own flower filled fountain.
