Sitting at an altitude of 1300m Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania. This typical African town is located on a plateau in the Great Rift Valley amidst the Serengeti Plains, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park, and the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.
Arusha is a small town nestled in the shadow of Mount Meru with commanding views of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro. Although Dar es Salaam is larger, Arusha tends to be visited more by tourists as it is the gateway to the northern safari circuit and it is likely to be the start of your Arusha safari adventure to the famous parks of north.
Suggested Arusha Accommodation
Arusha Coffee Lodge
Arusha Coffee Lodge lies in a tranquil coffee plantation, just outside Arusha. It is close to Arusha airport which makes it an ideal stay for the start or end of a safari

Guest Testimonial
Quite simply excellent. If I could say one thing it is that Egypt is the place to go right now, as there were virtually no tourists at some of the sights and that,I should think, is quite rare!![]()
