Due to Tanzania's proximity to the equator the climate is generally warm year round ranging between 25°C to 32°C, there are however regional variations. With two rain seasons, the 'short rains' fall between November and December whilst the 'long rains' between February and into early May. The best time to travel to Tanzania is between December and March and July and October.

Arusha is a small town nestled in the shadow of Mount Meru with commanding views of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro. Although Dar es Salaam is larger, Arusha tends to be visited more by tourists as it is the gateway to the northern safari circuit and it is likely to be the start of your Arusha safari adventure to the famous parks of north.
