Plantation Lodge emerges like a green oasis in the soft, red-brown hills amid the vastness and silence of East Africa. To stay here is to sink thankfully into a world of rest and relaxation. The 16 individually styled rooms melt harmoniously into the garden bursting with bougainvillea, frangipani and jacaranda, with furnishings selected with great attention to detail.
A collection of wonderfully striking sepia photographs adorn many of the walls. The bathrooms are just as beautiful and the views from the balcony simply enchanting. Fresh variety is the motto in the restaurant, where guests are pampered with culinary delights using the lodge's own vegetables, salads, herbs and fruit. Being on the doorstep of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Serengeti and the Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks. Plantation Lodge offers a variety of safari options.
