This is your haven of tranquillity and opulence amongst the bustle of Zanzibar's exotic melange of sultan's palaces, Portuguese forts, ancient harbours, dark slave markets and bright bazaars. Ideally situated on the seafront of ages-old Stone Town, the hotel is charming, intimate and romantic with interiors echoing the island's rich Arab influence. All 51 bedrooms and the private swimming pool overlook the azure waters of the Indian Ocean and the lazy dhows that plough beneath the restaurant's windows. The local specialities are freshly caught seafood with spices. Guests are invited on excursions to experience a succession of hidden dazzlingly white beaches, spice gardens and private watersports.
