Days 1 - 3 Bangkok
Arriving in Bangkok on an overnight flight is a great way to ease yourself into the Asian experience –spend as long as you like recharging the batteries at a friendly hotel on your first day before being enticed out by nearby delights. Waking fresh on your second morning, step back in time at the Golden Mount Temple before jumping in the back of a tuk tuk to visit the magnificent Grand Palace, with its gilded roofs and vivid murals, and see the revered Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew. After floating down the Chao Phraya River, disembark at the Flower Market, one of Bangkok's liveliest and most colourful marketplaces.
