Day 1 UK / Bangkok
As you arrive at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport you will be met by a member of the A&K team who will accompany you through fast-track immigration and customs formalities, before the the short drive to The Peninsula Bangkok, your superbly-located home for the next three nights.

Day 2 Bangkok

Spend a leisurely morning enjoying the excellent facilities of the Peninsular, or – if you’d like to connect with the spiritual side of Thailand - you could opt for a guided tour that will illuminate the country’s religions, beliefs and traditions. An afternoon expedition takes you to Rattanakosin Island, one of Bangkok's oldest regions; founded by Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke (Rama I) in 1782, the area was modelled on the ancient capital of Ayutthaya. Spend some time exploring Bangkok's photogenic Flower Market, known locally as Pad Klong Talad, notable for its colourful and aromatic stalls, before heading to a nearby klong (canal) to board a ferry to the Grand Palace, a complex of impressive buildings including Wat Phra Kaew, which contains the very small, very famous and greatly revered Emerald Buddha.

Day 3 Bangkok

Setting off early for Samut Songkhram Province, you’ll stop en route to browse a local market set up over railway tracks. A boat trip through a maze of canals brings you to Wat Bang Kung, where you will find a small chapel enclosed within the roots of a 400-year old banyan tree. After a busy morning, spend a leisurely afternoon relaxing at the Peninsular as you wish – perhaps taking advantage of your exclusive spa voucher, or exploring the city under your own steam…

Day 4 Bangkok / Chiang Rai
Your driver will collect you from the Peninsular to take you to back to the airport to fly to Chiang Rai in northern Thailand. A member of the A&K team will meet you as you arrive, and accompany you to the luxurious Four Seasons Tented Camp in the Golden Triangle – the area bordering Thailand, Myanmar and Laos, once notorious for opium trading - your jungle home for the next three nights, where you’ll arrive by boat and stay in a deluxe tent, complete with private deck and hot tub. In the evening, you will be treated to a complimentary Wine Cellar Dinner for two.

Days 5 - 6 Chiang Rai
As well the cossetting accommodation and exceptional East-meets-West cuisine, the camp offers a range of magical experiences for you to enjoy over the next two days. You can take elephant rides through the magnificent mountainous jungle scenery with a mahout to help you ‘drive’, trek to hill tribe villages untouched by time, or cruise along the Mekong River the heart of the Golden Triangle on a long-tail boat, stopping to browse local markets and visit ancient temples. Back at camp, there is a tree-top fringed spa where youmay like to opt for a rejuvenating treatment.

Day 7 Chiang Rai / Chiang Mai
After a leisurely final morning at the Four Seasons Tented Camp, a member of the A&K team will drive you to the Four Seasons Chiang Mai, where you’ll be staying for the next three nights.

Day 8 Chiang Mai
After an early breakfast, your driver will take you to Waroros Market, a thriving indoor market showcasing the best of Thailand's north-eastern delicacies, handicrafts and textiles. From here, hop on a rickshaw taking you along the famous Tapae Road, through the ancient city walls to Wat Phra Singh. Built in 1345, the Wihan Lai Kham building within the ancient complex houses the sacred Phra Buddha Singh statue, the nucleus of the temple. You’ll also visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, located at 3,500 ft above sea level; it is considered the most important temple in Chiang Mai.

Day 9 Chiang Mai
Spend a fascinating day at Khum Lanna, a luxurious heritage house that offers traditional Thai and Lanna lifestyle experiences. The picturesque gardens burst with fragrant herbs, fruit and vegetables – ingredients for your cooking class; you’ll be taught how to harness the flavours you harvest to create authentic Thai delicacies. Having savoured the fruits of your labours, it will be time to head on to Mae Taeng to visit the Araksa Tea Plantation, a specialist producer of high quality Assam tea, where’ll you’ll learn about the various steps of the tea growing process, from planting to harvesting.

Days 10 - 13 Koh Samui

You will be collected from the hotel and driven to Chiang Mai International Airport to fly to Koh Samui for a leisurely few days enjoying the island’s gorgeous beaches and making the most of the superb facilities and activities on offer at the Four Seasons Samui.

Day 14 Koh Samui / UK

You will be collected from the hotel and driven to the airport for your homeward flight via Bangkok.
