Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas
Why we like it
- Buried within beautiful tropical grounds on the island of Phuket, overlooking the pristine white sands of Mai Khao beach
- 83 contemporary style private pool villas
- Selection of five delectable restaurants, including the Tree House serving thai-style tapas and cocktails
Admire the resort's gorgeous gardens beautifully designed by Bill Bensley before enjoying a view like no other from the heights of the Treehouse whilst tucking into the tantalising Thai fusion tapas.
In Chiang Mai we were met by Aung, who was also lovely and took care of us very well. Once again I am so glad that you recommended the 137 Pillars House, it was perfect and I would have happily stayed there some more days.

Sitting between sun-blessed beaches and verdant hills, Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas is just steps away from the waters of the Andaman Sea. Its 82 One and Two Bedroom Villas echo southern Thai villages, with locally inspired architecture to complement their indigenous garden setting. Open spaces and private pools take advantage of the cool sea breeze, whilst stylish interiors embrace contemporary Thai design, using local prints, textiles and paintings in relaxed lounge spaces.
Take time to explore in style, with a luxury yacht cruise through the mysterious karsts of Phang Nga Bay, or wander the viewpoints and waterfalls of the island's unseen hinterlands with a local guide. Visit our favourite, Sea.Fire.Salt restaurant, to feast on freshly grilled seafood, enhanced to perfection by the suggestions from the resident salt sommelier. Round the day off in romantic style with a magnificent Margarita in the fabulous Treehouse Bar.
Best time to be there
November to March. April is often the hottest month of the year, and also the month of the celebratory 'Songkran' festivals. May to October is the rainy season, with short bursts of rainstorms refreshing the green paddy fields once more.
