Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is the name of both the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the largest of the seven individual emirates that make up the country.

Steeped in the ancient culture and heritage of Arabia, the strong tradition of desert hospitality lives on in the genuine warmth and friendliness that welcomes any visitor. The capital is known as the 'island city' of the Gulf, with its coastline studded with uninhabited islands. Island hopping is a popular activity. Tree-lined boulevards, lush green gardens and the Abu Dhabi fountain border the Corniche walkway, fascinating to explore on foot, with fine shopping malls and restaurants all within easy reach. Venture inland and discover the dramatic desert or mountains and wadis on a safari. Combining year round sunshine and superb leisure and recreational facilities, Abu Dhabi can offer cultural experiences, action packed holidays or relaxing escapes.
