Situated on the southern shore of the Persian Gulf, Dubai is the second largest Emirate and is also known as the 'Pearl of the Persian Gulf'. Dubai's population is estimated at 1.5 million and is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with the expatriate community covering most of the population and less than 10% of the total being national Emiratis.
