Weather
With a tropical climate, the hottest months are December to February. The main rainy season tends to be between April and May and then again from October to November. Due to the altitude the mountain air is a lot cooler. The best times to visit are Uganda are from December to March and from June to September.

One of the most accessible of Uganda's major rainforests Kibale National Parks is home to some 13 species of primates included the red colobus and L'Hoest's monkeys. The major attraction to this spectacular park however is the opportunity to trek habituated chimps. These apes, which are more closely related to humans than any other living creature are a delight to watch as they have go about their daily lives in the forest. Botanists and butterfly lovers will also enjoy the network of shaded forest trails and with no less than 335 different recorded bird species it is a bird lovers paradise. For those who are extremely fortunate you may get to see the elusive forest elephant. The park is also home to other forest dwellers including buffalo, giant forest hog and antelope.
