Day 1 UK / Boston / Falmouth
On arrival at Boston's Logan International Airport, collect the keys to your hire car and head south to Falmouth in Cape Cod for your first night, staying at the Inn on the Square, just a short stroll from Falmouth's main street where you’ll find a profusion of restaurants serving fabulous local cuisine.
Sea Crest Beach Hotel | Meals: Room Only

Day 2 Falmouth / Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
Drive out to Woods Hole to board the Steamship Authority's ferry for a 45-minute crossing to Martha's Vineyard and the charming Mansion House, home for the next three nights. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel of exploring the vicinity as you please.
Harbor View | Meals: Room Only

Day 3 Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
During a tour of the Vineyard you’ll discover the variety of landscapes in the six independent towns whose separate histories form a composite tale of the island's past. Visit Down Island, the busy, fashionable eastern half of the Vineyard, where Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, and Vineyard Haven lure the rich and famous. For a complete contrast, drive on to Up-Island, the sparsely populated and sleepy town situated to the west.
Harbor View | Meals: Room Only

Day 4 Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
Spend the day immersing yourself in the numerous activities available on the island – there is scuba diving on the many wrecks in the ocean, golf and tennis and horse riding (if you are a keen rider, we heartily recommend a ride along the beach as the sun sets). Or if you're keen to explore another island, take the ferry to neighbouring Nantucket and explore its cobblestone streets lined with quaint boutiques.
Harbor View | Meals: Room Only

Day 5 Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts / Newport, Rhode Island
Catch the ferry back to the mainland and head to Newport via Plymouth, home to the Mayflower II, a full size replica of the ship that carried Pilgrims to the New World. You’ll see Plymouth Rock, the jetty where the first new Americans stepped after crossing the Atlantic. Having arrived at the resort town of Newport, where you can’t miss the opulent traces of its glamorous heyday, settle in for a sumptuous dinner by the Harbour Brew. There are many to choose from, and you’ll have the chance to try several out over the next couple of days, whilst you stay at the iconic Vanderbilt Grace for two nights.
Vanderbilt Grace | Meals: Room Only

Day 6 Newport, Rhode Island
We recommend heading out on the Ocean Drive to ‘Millionaire's Row’ to view the summer ‘cottages’ of the Gilded Age; while here it is worth visiting the Breakers or the Marble House, both owned by the Vanderbilt family. Newport's charming Brick Marketplace and waterfront area are filled with shops and restaurants; it is easy to while away several happy hours browsing and exploring.
Vanderbilt Grace | Meals: Room Only

Day 7 Newport / Boston / UK
Time to bid farewell to Newport and head back to Boston. During the return drive, we recommend stopping on the Freedom Trail to stretch your legs and take in the important historic sites from the colonial and revolutionary periods, such as Revere's House, the Old North Church and the USS Constitution, America's oldest commissioned ship. Arrive at Boston's Logan airport to drop off your hire car and board your flight for your next destination.
