Day 1 UK / Seattle
You will be met at the airport and driven to your hotel for the next two nights, the famous Fairmont Seattle.

Day 2 Seattle
Immerse yourself in the Seattle scene with a visit to the Space Needle, soaking in the views of the city and Puget Sound. Learn about the history of music and its influence in Seattle and then head to Pike Place Market for a walking food tour of this iconic downtown attraction.

Day 3 Seattle / Olympic National Park
Your road trip begins with a visit to the Olympic Peninsula, crossing through the Puget Sound Islands to the artist's colony of Port Townsend. Spend tonight at Lake Crescent Lodge, ideal for families.

Days 4 - 5 Olympic National Park
Head east to view another portion of Olympic National Park, hiking through the lush rainforests and perhaps taking a refreshing dip in Lake Cushman before heading to Alderbrook Lodge for a s'mores cookout. Spend the next day relaxing at the resort (there's a terrific spa) or walking through the grounds. Take a kayak out for a spin on Puget Sound and check out the rocky beaches and sea life.

Day 6 Washington's Forests
Head inland for a full-day at Northwest Trek, Washington's famed wildlife park. Take a tram ride through the preserve to view American bison, elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and deer. Head up into the tree canopy of the forest for an exciting zip line adventure course before bedding down at Great Wolf Lodge.

Day 7 Mt. St Helens
Head up into the Cascades to visit Mt. St Helens. Learn about the geological events surrounding the 1980 eruption through a variety of stories, facts and walks before you don your headlamps for a visit to the lava tube at Ape Caves. Drive south to Portland and rest up at the quirky Nines hotel, your home for the next two nights.

Day 8 Portland
Get to know the sights and sounds of the Rose City, from its eclectic neighbourhoods and hip downtown and Pearl district. There are endless opportunities for foodies and urban explorers, such as the Pittock Mansion, Japanese Garden and Powell's, the iconic bookstore. There's no sales tax in Oregon –so don't miss out of the shopping!

Day 9 Columbia River Gorge
Leaving Portland you'll head to one of the greatest attractions of the Pacific Northwest –the Columbia River Gorge. Look out for wildlife as you visit Multnomah Falls, the tallest waterfall in the state. Hike to two or three other secluded falls before heading to Skamania Lodge for the night.

Days 10 - 11 Central Oregon
Head south over the cascades to central Oregon, where we recommend you stretch your legs with a short hike at Smith Rock State Park where you could give climbing a try with a guided lesson. Your home for the next two nights is the fun-filled Brasada Ranch. Take it easy at the ranch before you head out for an exciting afternoon tackling the white water on a rafting trip down the Deschutes River or head to Bend to explore its quaint downtown area.

Day 12 Crater Lake National Park
Rise with the sun and head to Crater Lake National Park taking advantage of the stunning photo opportunities and learning about the lake itself. Check in at the quirky Weasku Inn and let the kids enjoy some complimentary treats in the living room before bed.

Day 13 Grants Pass / Portland
On your penultimate day in Oregon get your adrenaline going early this morning with an energetic jet-boat ride down the wild Rogue River. After lunch head back to Portland for your final night at the Nines.

Day 14 Portland / UK
Bid farewell to the Pacific Northwest as you head to either Seattle or Portland airports for your flight home.
