The Canaima National Park, Venezuela's second largest national park, sprawls over 3 million hectares and is located in the south east of Venezuela along the border with Brazil.
Canaima is home to a dazzling array of birds, such as macaws, toucans, parakeets, parrots, tanagers, hummingbirds and the illusive cock of the rock, as well as many other exotic species. The land is also rich in exotic wildlife, such as anteaters, jaguars, sloths and howler monkeys. In the national park you will also find the famous Angel Falls; the tallest uninterrupted waterfall in the world and sixteen times higher than Niagara Falls. After a long hike, you can relax and swim in one of its natural pools at the foot of the Falls.
