Day 1 - London/Hanoi
Board your overnight Thai Airways flight from Heathrow to Hanoi, via Bangkok.
Day 2 - Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi and check-in to the Hotel Sofitel Metropole for three nights. Enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing including the 11th century Quanh Tanh Temple, Quanh Su Pagoda and a one-hour cyclo tour around the Old Quarter. In the evening, go to the theatre to see a traditional water puppet show.
Day 3 - Hanoi/Halong Bay/Hanoi
After breakfast, drive to Halong Bay, famous for its emerald waters, limestone outcrops, echoing caves and hidden bays. Enjoy a three-hour boat trip with lunch, through these spectacular surroundings.
Day 4 - Hanoi
This morning, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh's House, the Fine Arts Museum and Temple of Literature - Vietnam's historic centre of learning. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5 - Hanoi/Hue
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to the small city of Hue (approximately 1 hour). On arrival, have lunch in a local restaurant. This afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River and explore the local market. Check-in to La Residence hotel for one night.
Day 6 - Hue/Danang
This morning, visit the Imperial Citadel and the royal mausoleums of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. After lunch in a local restaurant, drive to the Nam Hai Hotel, via the Hai Van Pass. Check-in for three nights.
Day 7 - Danang
Enjoy a morning at leisure, before an afternoon visit to charming Hoi An. Highlights include the Japanese Covered Bridge and historic wooden merchants' houses.
Day 8 - Danang
After breakfast, visit the World Heritage ruins of My Son, dating back to the seventh century and once considered the domain of gods. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
Day 9 - Danang/Can Tho
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (approximately 1 hour flight). On arrival, drive south to the heart of the Mekong Delta (approximately 5 hours drive). Check-in to the Victoria Can Tho.
Day 10 - Can Tho/Chau Doc
After breakfast, visit the bustling floating market at Cai Rang and enjoy a boat trip on the Mekong River. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to Chau Doc (approximately 2 ½ hour drive). Check-in to the Victoria Chau Doc.
Day 11 - Chau Doc/Ho Chi Minh City
This morning, drive to Cao Lanh (approximately 4 hours drive) to visit Xeo Quyt and enjoy a cruise on a traditional sampan. Continue on to Ho Chi Minh City and check-in to the Caravelle Hotel for two nights.
Day 12 - Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, visit the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels. Have lunch in a local restaurant and visit the Presidential Palace in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 13 - Ho Chi Minh City/London
This morning, visit colourful China Town, Binh Tay market and the spectacular Jade Emperor Pagoda. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to London, via Bangkok, or extend your stay to Cambodia, Laos or Thailand.
