Safari & Wildlife Holidays
Safaris are often associated with Africa - for which Abercrombie & Kent has unrivalled credentials and expertise - and it's no wonder with the Big Game viewing in Kenya, the annual migration of wildebeest running between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti, and the primates holding fort in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In short, Africa is a diverse continent with unlimited safari experiences.
Yet it's not just Africa that can lay claim to the safari and fantastic wildlife spotting opportunities, with plenty more countries such as Galapagos, Sri Lanka, India and Canada housing rare and wonderful species of wildlife. Galapagos is home to the incongruous blue-footed booby, Sri Lanka to the elusive tiger and Canada the grizzly bear. Brazil's Pantanal also has a lot to boast about with over 700 species of birds, 260 species of fish and 80 reptile, as well as the biggest concentration of large animals in the New World.
The question is, however, where to go first? Luckily we know the best times of year to visit each place, and where to stay, meaning we can tailor an authentic safari experience just for you.
Safari & Wildlife Holiday Ideas
Whether searching for polar bears, grizzly bears or the elusive spirit bear, Canada and the USA are the obvious destinations, and never have there been more opportunities to catch sight of the magnificent creatures.
A rustle in the foliage. A flutter of wings in the distance. A far-off cry – faintly heard. Your A&K guide gestures silently. You raise your binoculars with excitement, and soon tick a bird off your to-see list.
Gorilla Tracking & Monkeys
Travel to Uganda and Rwanda for the finest gorilla tracking on the planet, seeking these majestic animals in their natural habitat.
Go further. Get closer. Dive deeper. We all know only 30 per cent of the earth's surface is made up of land, but how well do you know the other 70 per cent?
Tiger, Lion & Other Big Cat Safaris

Wildlife - East Africa Safaris
Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are all favourites for safaris. With migrations, Big Game viewing, gorillas and more, East Africa, the birthplace of A&K is a great wildlife destination.
Wildlife - Southern Africa safaris
South Africa is famously brimming with wildlife but Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana also boast fantastic wildlife viewing and luxurious lodges.
