Day 1 UK / Lusaka
Take an overnight flight via Johannesburg of Dubai to Lusaka.
Days 2 Luangwa Valley
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Latitude Fifteen Degrees.
Days 3 - 6 Luangwa Valley
Today you will be driven to the airport and fly to Mfuwe where you will be met and driven to South Luangwa, an absorbing journey in itself, which allows you to observe everyday life in Zambia as you pass through the bustling villages en route. Turning on to dirt roads, you’ll cross the Luangwa River by pontoon to arrive at the charming Sanctuary Puku Ridge Tented Camp. South Luangwa National Park is famous for its vast range of wildlife, notably leopard, and is a brilliant place not only for morning and afternoon game drives but also to experience the thrill of a walking safari, for which Zambia is renowned. Suoth Luangwa also allows spotlit night drives, which open up the chance to observe rarely seen nocturnal wildlife.
Sanctuary Puku Ridge Tented Camp | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Days 7 - 9 Lower Zambezi
Fly to the Lower Zambezi area for a 'water experience' of Zambia. A haven for elephants, the bush camps scattered along the water's edge are superb vantage points for observing the antics of the river’s inhabitants. But to really get into the thick of the action, there is no better way than by canoe. Canoe safaris allow you observe wildlife from a different – and more photogenic – angle; instead of watching their behinds as they approach the river for a drink, you are can watch their faces – often at close range You'll be staying at Chiawa Camp situated on the northern banks of the Zambezi River opposite Mana Pools, which, thanks to its location, offers a wide range of safari activities including day and night game drives by open safari vehicles, wilderness walks, canoeing, game viewing by boat, birdwatching and fishing.
Chiawa Camp | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Days 10 - 11 Old Mondoro
You’ll be taken to your next camp by boat, this time Old Mondoro Bush Camp, another lovely camp on on the banks of the Zambezi, overlooking a maze of game-inhabited islands. The camp backs on to open woodland and the best walking areas in the Lower Zambezi. Start the day with a walking safari through towering acacia woodland and along rich lagoons, escorted by your guide, followed by afternoon and evening game drives.
Old Mondoro | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Days 12 - 14 Livingstone
Fly to Livingstone Airport where you'll be met and driven to Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge which is just a short drive away from the Victoria Falls. Twice the height of Niagara Falls, and stretching about a mile inn width, the Victoria Falls represent the point where the Zambezi’s waters pound over the edge of a massive canyon, throwing up myriad rainbows in the misty spray during the rainy season when the river is at its fullest. The whole region has become a centre for adventure and mecca for adrenalin junkies; you can bungee from the bridge dividing Zimbabwe and Zambia, raft the white water rapids or swing across the canyon. More sedate, but just as thrilling is to take a cruise on the Zambezi at sunset. Sussi & Chuma comprises a string of treehouses linked by raised wooden walkway, located on a dramatic bend of the Zambezi, affording majestic river views. Nearby walking trails (only a short drive away) will lead you to the Falls and, during the dry season, if the water is low enough, it is possible to walk across to Livingstone Island where David Livingstone first got a glimpse of the falls.
